... Master (when will she get a name???) said the scar on Stella's hand "confirmed" her identity, but there was no mention or appearance of it in the flashback. Did something happen before or after she left that left that scar? And... could it be that it also caused lasting nerve/muscle damage that continues to negatively affect her ability to draw with that hand, if not deny it completely?

I'm pretty sure further flashbacks will reveal what caused the scar, and it's very likely that it will be something that Master considers her own fault.
