@cryum the mmo's I played all had fairly in depth cooking, almost everything you killed dropped something to eat or use to eat, I would have probably gotten this skill immediately once I was killing cocktraces

I haven't read the novel yet, but I'm thinking about it. This guy is like Weed from Moonlight Sculptor. Though he's obsessed with food the way Weed was obsessed with money.
