TBH if it's so dangerous then it's probable for the best that he approached someone who's already lived through most of their lives. I'm not saying that the elderly are expendable or shouldn't be allowed to live out the rest of their lives in peace, but if the alternative is endangering a minor who doesn't really know what she's getting into, it's more responsible to ask adults. Especially those without dependents.
