It's me or the images are too much "white" or bright?
The body lines of the characters are just "thin" and in looks like they disappear.Making it hard to read.
Are the original raws like this?

You're right. The scans does look overexposed/too bright...like the contrast has been cranked up or something.

The first chapter looks it could be a different source, since it's not the same as in the raws: lhscans raw.

After 1.1 however, it looks like it's no longer the issue. Although it is slightly lower resolution than raws after 1.1:

raws: 1128x1600

Because it's been cut in half for some reason, either by the raw rippers or LHT themselves. Likely will be released as 2.2. But ch 2 it's just a single chapter in the raws: ComicWalker: ch.2 full raw, 40 pages

Axed ending, rushed pace, too many cliches. It had some interesting ideas but that's about all the good I have to say about this. Even the art is not that great, so yeah, waste of time.
