Machine translation with a good editor is far better than no translation at all. A good editor can make it work.

One nitpick, I would say that on page 14 "kangaroo court" would be a better phrase in context, as it has a specific definition, a trial with a predetermined outcome done for pretense sake, that "setup" fails to fully imply.

An academy shouldn't serve a fortress for its main purpose. If they want it to have defensive capability, build a bunker complex as a redoubt on a hill, overlooking a conventional over-the-ground academy.

Super solid editing for a MTL was really easy to read and comprehend what was happening. I hope you get a translator soon.

I wouldn't have realised this was a machine translation if you hadn't mentioned it at the start. Very solid editing!

@jeezits
Agreed. But. On the same page, where I used "Court Martial" the japanese read "Samon Inkai" (can't read jap but I can understand a bit through the romaji like I said in the credits) which I believe, again with my non-existent trash anime Japanese understanding, should mean something like a court of inquiry. Searching for samon inkai also yielded a wiki page in japanese where Court Martial was mentioned as a meaning in English. So basically I was pretty sure with that. (This was also largely the case for the rest of the lines where I went over the japanese in romaji and edited the mtl ahem script i got.)
But for the Kangaroo Court part, I didn't know what the japanese meant, although there was a similar wiki page with the english word. But I felt it was a bit too specific to use when I didn't know wtf I was doing, so I just left it there as a note so that people who knew the meaning would get the added context.
There, thanks for coming to my worthless TED talk on mtl choice justifications.

Yay, an update~

That aside, why are they looking for a fortified place? I mean sure it's military school, but it's not like they'll use it to fight battles. Rather than going underground or making it in a small hill, won't a bigger area with easier access to other cities will be better?

This chapter was earlier uploaded as 62.5 and was also machine translated.
The numbering has since been fixed to match the physical Volume 11 numbering (it was published as a special chapter in the magazine). The chapter has also been TL-checked against the chinese scans and certain lines have been changed. If you've already read the chapter earlier, you don't need to read it again as there wasn't surprisingly much change! (maybe mtl's aren't so bad after all, but who am I kidding...)
If anything, the only notable change was in the details of how concrete functions on page 7.

If there is any Japanese translator out there willing to work on this series, please reach out (If you know someone who knows jap, get them to work on this ffs). Currently we are doing chinese to english translations as I explained, and while this might work, eventually we'll need Japanese translations anyway.

Also, redrawers. Need a redrawer for this. PM me here or reach out on discord.

@Grimmycoffee

They literally have to defend their military academy from a siege during the civil war. It make sense that the characters will focus on making sure the new facility have a good defensive capabilities considering their recent experience.

@Grimmycoffee The previous military academy was also a fortified structure and it was definitely used for defense during the very recent civil war. They're upgrading the "fortress" aspect of the academy, probably while slightly forgetting the "school" aspect. Then again you can argue that it's reasonable to train up your future officers and soldiers under the conditions you expect them to fight in.
