H.P. Lovecraft's The Hound and Other Stories

I just read my paper copy and i must say i really liked.
The drawing style really suits the story and sets the right mood.
My personal List:
1. The Temple
2. The Nameless City
3. The Hound
To be honest i was a bit disappointed by the Hound because i couldnt follow what was happening in the end except for the last scene. Whose grave was that? Did i miss something or the adaption?
Also a small nitpick for the Temple even its otherwise the best story for me: Why did the adaption had to be changed to be set in the second and no longer in the first world war? I dont really understand the reasoning behind this decision.
