gotta love the people here in this series, while they aren't realistic, most of them are helpful and sensible, a lot of conversation are relevant to the story
So he becomes the head of his own family, but keeps his name? That sounds potentially confusing.
What does he mean when he says Associate Barons make 30 gold coins a year but since it's not a position, there's no positional wage? What is the 30 gold for, then? Why does he even get a wage? What are his responsibilities?
@nogenem Seriously, it's gotta be awkward to be in a party of four with one other guy and two girls who both want the other guy.
Damn, kinda of a waste to hand over all the loot. Having a fist sized piece of that huge magic stone and a bone big enough to make a cane (to put the magic stone on) would have been great. Perhaps even a fang or claw to make a slashing weapon out of (sword or daggers usually).
Also if I were him, instead of keeping the family's name Id get a new one my own, perhaps his master's family name or something like that.
Wait how does everyone INSTATLY know of his new position? Even though he went back straight from the meeting somehow all his friends and the other family are already informed of his new standing.
