That was pretty gentle capitalism. Dude was selling at as low a price as he dared. Of course he still had a good margin of profit, especially with salt, and probably selling the gifts as I doubt he's in a habit of sending gifts to random nobles in return, but he could have made more if he really worshipped the dollar.

Surprised they brought up the topic of them buying stuff to so money could circulate. Props for decent economics

that thing about salt, it is indeed infinite money, as long as he does not sell every month, the price will take a long time to drop, and with salt money, he can buy the dark sugar, refine it, and sell for over 2x the original price

It's not like Wend is lacking in money, since the last adventure he has tons of it. The bazaar is more for him to play around.

That wasn't capitalism. That was charity work.
Also, he did all the work of the production himself.

Currency circulation requires an even balance of money in minus tax to money out plus welfare (plus hundreds of other factors) just spending a little to recirculate would never be enough to equal the money he’s about to remove from the domain.

A whole chapter of MC finally realize about market and trade

What tf MC done in previous world,, jerking off till died??

lol I'm ashamed to say that I've done just like those villagers before. Entered a store that doesn't close for another hour "just to grab something real quick" and end up there still looking around 10-15 mins after closing time cause I saw something I really liked that one of the employees also liked and we just talked about it.
The daggers the other employees stared at me when I finally checked out hurt....

I'm not sure what Klaus' logic is in making Wendelin and his harem work as lowly storeclerks for commoners. (Provide the goods, yeah, sure, I get it. But someone else should be selling them while they sip tea with their pinkies in the air or whatever.)
