Hagure Idol Jigokuhen

@Vendura I could say a lot about how "good" this plot is, because even the manga itself realizes how grotesque and even absurd it is, but I will only say one thing - the feteshization of sexual violence, silly near-porno content and the too problematic portrayal of sexuality. This is the main reason for the low ratings. If you do not understand why such titles are usually rated very low, then you are either an extremely naive person and I will be your guide on the Internet (lol), or you are already at that level of a person of culture when any weird stuff only causes a slight laugh.

The tournament arc was terrible, absolutely dogshit. This whole manga is bad, but the tournament arc is bad on another level as a whole.

I have no idea what sort of manga this is, but I binged everything in a little over a day.

Is there any other manga like it? Like, it's smutty, but not fully smutty. It has dirty kinks and weird situations, but they all fit so well. I wonder if the translations add to that, but it feels like its easier to understand context reading this. The sexual violence is kinda shocking though, and hard to get used to, but I guess you'll be hard when you're used to it lol.

Seriously though, is there any manga out there similar to this?

@CSX393 Do you need a similar grotesque action smut or just near-hentai about the adult industry? As for the sorts, this is a fairly typical eroguro work that goes in the opposite way from subtle.

@SuperOniichan BOTH! However, as fare as "guro" goes... I read the Redman comic he did, and I wasn't a fan of the eviscerations, eyes popping out, etc. I could tolerate the "scat" scenes because its depicted as "white", and the watersports scenes were great. But, as a general rule, I try and avoid outright gore and suffering. Quick deaths are fine, but this: "https://mangadex.org/chapter/357647/20" is about as far as I can go for eroguro.

Near hentai about the adult industry would be awesome though.

@LeozKise

Depends on the person translating. Some stop out of respect for the official material, some stop because the official translations catch up faster than they do. Others still do it, stating that it would take years for the licensors to catch up. It’s up to @Odoritomaki to decide.

@xyzzy wow I legit never expected this. Rui seems cool with it though and this arrangement was obviously in development when he tweeted about these translations so I say continue on for the fans who don't wanna wait even longer to catch up! I am curious if this success means an anime adaptation isn't far off

Oh wow, I honestly didn't think it would get localized but that's cool. I hope that the translators do a good job, thanks for the heads up xyzzy. Murciélago releases are winding down since the American release has almost caught up to Japan so it's great that this has been announced. Seems that they are releasing Volume 1 and 2 together, I wonder if they are doing that with all volumes.

Tried through the first volume on friend's recommendation of giving it a chance... This is hot garbage, and from what I know of random ass screenshots of chapters it doesn't get better. Hard drop

@Marina_Liteyears I'm also surprised, but after the Black Gakkou license from the same magazine, it no longer looks so strange.

@justjorge I have previously indirectly mentioned this manga several times in a discussion with Erica Friedman, so now I even wonder if they will give some volumes to her for review as yuri, lol.

I must admit giving this manga a shot was worth it. It does not pretend to be serious manga talking about serious issues, it's just plain ecchi to chill after a stressing day.
Is it for everyone? No. Shit, I wouldn't even recommend it if someone asked, but I *do* enjoy it.

That being said, proceed with caution lol
