Hagure Seirei Ino Shinsatsu Kiroku ~ Seijo Kishi-dan to Iyashi no Kamiwaza ~ - Vol. 2 Ch. 7

I really really like this MC.
He speaks his mind when he has things to say and is an actually kind person.

For instance, when the girl he went to the battlefield said that the soldier in the prison who couldn't get used to all the death was weak, he said, "Excuse me, I'm going to say something outrageous but it's better to not get used to death in that way." Like he clearly cares about the mental health of the people around him.

Regarding the kindness aspect, you get that so often in stories. Oh so and so is a "nice" guy but in the story you wait for that kindness to show itself and it never does. All that's ever seen is the basic decency of a human being following the law and not being a shithead like 99% of the population. This guy overtaxes himself to properly bury his allies, takes the initiative to meet and help the sick, all while respecting the people who he talks to in a way that they let down their guard around him.

I wish this had a WN or LN. I'd be marathoning it about now. Love these kinds of protagonists.

In some of the dialogue it seems like they're talking past each other. I'm not saying it's the translation, it's just a bit weird sometimes.

@TitanAnteus there WN and LN for this one if you want to know, but kinda stalled for sometime after some big war and
scheme from capital
it just its still japaness one i dont found any fanstranslation or official one for LN

Just me or does this one sorta jerk around from scene to scene pretty roughly? I also had a hard time catching on to who was actually talking at the moment.

@TitanAnteus If you like this is kind of protagonist and want to read a novel I recommend 'Trash of the count's family'. The title might be a bit misleading but the MC is a great guy, although he might not see himself as such. Its a Korean novel with currently 530 chapters that you can find on Wuxiaworld.

'The Novel's Extra' is also a novel with a similar kind of MC. Can't remember it too well since its been almost half a year since I finished reading it but I remember him to a kind guy who would do his utmost for those close to him, I don't want to spoil it since you might be interested in reading it but its evident close to the ending how much of a truly good guy he is.

Parents are different so wouldn't that make them step-brother and sister if nothing at all?

@proof reader/TL
On sibilings not fully related by blood
step = through (re)marriage of one of your parents
in-law = by marriage of one of your sibilings (eg their husband/wife)
half = only shares one biological parent
adoptive = by adoption

I'm pretty sure you don't mean in-law so which do you actually mean?

@KaiserZ
Looks like you could use a decent English proofreader for this publication... and maybe some others.
I'm doing so on a few manga, and I'm available.
Shall I drop you a line?

A v2 of this chapter would be nice, really felt like I was missing out on quite large parts of the actual conversation.

Nice to know I wasn't the only one feeling lost on what exactly the conversations were saying.

@TitanAnteus Couldn't agree with you more, so many stories have supposedly 'kind' MC are just basically a naive kid and a law abiding citizen.

Also the act of burying the enemies with magic is not just kind to the enemies, he help the captain from sacrificing her sleep time burying them manually, also it stops the spreading of disease.

Wait, if armor in this universe is made of tissue paper, why won't everyone use bows and arrows?
