Hajime no Ippo - Vol. 126 Ch. 1269 - I'm Back!

Nah, not believing yet. Still need at least like ... 31 chapters of build-up. Doesn't 1300 sound like a good clean (unlucky) number?

"Get in the fucking robot, Shinji" has turned into "Get in the fucking ring, Ippo" for me in the last few years.

My balls are cobalt.

Greybeards have been waiting for a return to Ippo trying to figure things out in his notebook for over 20 years. This is the kid we fell in love with.

"The coach never taught me such passive boxing." Actually, he did, by virtue of not correcting you, which is what coaches are meant to do. I hate Kamogawa and Ippo's braindead loyalty to him SO MUCH.
This chapter gives me a theory, though. He kept fighting brainlessly for years. Now, of course everyone else should've told him that. But, why did he never notice himself? Clearly, because all the concussions and blunt trauma. But the brain doesn't just heal from that. Yet Ippo's brain seems to have done just that. How? The answer is clear: Ippo's brain is actually a symbiotic slime mold, capable of slowly pulling itself back together over time. That neatly explains his stupidity, resilience, and recovery.

his hair is back now he's about to start boxing again

my god been waiting for this moment knew this was exactly what was gonna happen but hopefully it starts come next ch or something cause im so ready to see ippo fight again and see him become a beast again and see how his style of box changes

looking forward to the next ch

Retiring from his retirement. I guess Morikawa can't end the story with a MC failure even though it would be more realistic with Ippo going the Coach route in the steps of Kamogawa.

Ippo has always been a simple character whos main strategy was an easy to read bull charge and bodypunch/dempsey roll. Let's see how he evolves, provided that he gets back in the ring.

So cool from the mangaka to dedicate a whole chapter on this side character.

Hajime no Takamura is awesome.

I can pay, but I don't want a victory at any cost.
I don't want to put my foot on someone's chest.
I would rather stay here with you...
Just to stay here with you.
But the star high in the sky is calling me on my way...

Ippos next evolution just reminds me of this.

@boldmonkey or the coach is just incompetent and he preferred to put the blame on a non existent intracranial injury rather than to admit to his negligence as a coach that doesn't coaches his fighters and helps them overcome and improve obvious basic flaws.

However, on the other hand, the manga does says a lot that Ippo may be some kind of monster, so super regeneration may go in hand with super strength...

I kinda wanted to blame Kamogawa, but Ippo was & still is so retarded that I kinda can't.
