I think Ricardo doesn't want to fight Gonzales.
He said the last time he had a title match with him he almost lost because he was imitating his style but lost his cool and became reckless and wide openings.
When he beat Ippo he manages to get angry and lose it but kept him self from getting reckless and then beat Ippo into 200 chapters of depression.
Now he's got his own style refined by the Ippo fight he could probably beat him.
