Exactly as I had assumed in the previous chapters, they aren't even real, serious boxers anymore. They say they have dreams, but then all their fights are draws or losses that end in a gag. Like seriously? A full page spread of Aoki running away?? Thats not even a funny gag considering all the other decent jokes here. I didn't start reading and fall in love with this manga, just to watch it turn to shit 800 fucking chapters in.

That dude Ca_Calico is completely right hajime no ippo has a pacing problem and a character problem. It just feels like the entire manga is rampant with filler after ippo becomes champ i mean about half of the title defenses were alright but it just feels like they messed up completely having talks of miyata vs ippo and the next 100 chapters is him fixing that
