Can’t help but agree- the fact that japan still has such open human trafficking/ because selling your kid for a loan…even if it’s once is pretty fucked up. Why not help their business and make them pay you back in a free year’s ? Why you have to offer up their children as collateral ? that’s so messed up.

I know they will just fall in love anyway since its a shoujo manga but the precedent is a bit disturbing.
