the story was too long and read it a long time ago. What I remember was about a girl who who needed to live as a knight. I dunno why is it always a problem with the man to step aside and "wait" until the women is ready to leave her responsibilities as a person to become a woman and be dependable of the men. It is ok that they both have their own path but to make it look like "I will wait for you until you decide to quit as a knight" is just so mess up. why wait? why can't you respect it and be there for them? might as well just break up and remember those good times. Who knows he might meet a better or similar girl to the one he fell for and the female knight too and that other guy will stick around even as a knight.
why do you need to limit the woman and your own possible life because you just want to keep society standards instead of having your own standards and follow what you want.
