I don't know how many series I've read where the 3rd wheel and FMC work at the same place (and, irritatingly, get on very close, if not intimate terms), but this is the first time that I can remember where the MC then gets a job at the same place (to make sure nothing goes on between the 3rd wheel and the FMC).

As for the rings, they settled on a pair that cost just about $12 USD each.
