How the story has been so far, is she's emotionally manipulating him (unknown to her, and not really in a cruel way) to access more and more of his body with his reluctant consent. Now it's finally hitting him that this is for real and that sort of emotional intimacy is probably not what they want to just fuddle through.

I wouldn't say he doesn't like her, really. Like you said, he's finally becoming aware that this kind of physical intimacy can be linked to emotional intimacy. He's always been surrounded by porn, so it makes sense that his only concerns about her touching him would be about the practical repercussions. I think he's just realizing maybe he *probably* likes her. Not just that, she's actually a friend, and we've seen he doesn't really have friends to spare.
