Well I think there is no such thing as a bad person. Even though they may commit something seriously bad, and even though their act may be seriously wrong, they must have had a reason. In that case, this particular reason, or should I say, the excuses behind their actions, I certainly want to here these things from them.
@jokerxhisoka
incel bs or not, I still find the viewers reactions strange. The idea that showing them having sex would tank their popularity, rather than showing them treat him badly, is kinda gross. I could never understand it.
@Swain123 What a naive worldview. You clearly haven't read or watched enough murder docs if you think there aren't evil people in the world. Just last night I watched one about a serial killer who kidnapped, raped, and murdered 4 teen girls because he wanted to have sex with them. Leslie Allen Williams is his name.
@jokerxhisoka I don't think there's any bullshit about it. He's acting like an incel. Not to mention he's completely unqualified to even be in that party. Monpui a shit.
@jokerxhisoka He was supposedly treated rudely, though I doubt that this was without reason, as far as we saw he's the kind of unsavoury character nobody would like. Not to mention that he's basically some incompetent priest that got in through connections.
@criver Looking through it again, the hero gets more of a pass but the sorceress is complaining about how gross he is when they're getting it on right in front of him. Also double checked chapter 18.2 where she straight up refused to participate in a dungeon or battle because the boss was a dragon and she "hates lizards". Whether she gave up halfway through or not might be an assumption on their part, but the recruiters also noted that she didn't bother learning ice magic despite having an aptitude for it. Overall gives me the impression she's pretty shallow and self-centered.
@Meridis -- I was confused why the audience turned on them too, so I took to the comments here for insight. I guess it is like a bunch of "Die, Normies!" Another thought I had was, if we consider hero = idol, and idols in Japan are not allowed to have love and certainly not sex lives. "They belong to everyone" B.S., maybe there's some of that? I dunno. Still seems weird to me too.
How does being grossed out by somebody make you a terrible person again? Or are you supposed to like everybody you see? I wouldn't like the cowardly, incompetent, lazy, and devious little shit either.
Erm, did you miss the rest of what I said @criver? I figured that wouldn't be enough of a reason by itself, which is why I looked back at the other chapter. It's all that stuff combined that gives me such a negative impression of her – especially with the life-or-death battles they're dealing with.
@Keansor Because the other stuff is even less of a reason to conclude that she is a terrible person. She didn't learn ice magic even though she had an affinity for it? Mind explaining how that would make anyone a terrible person? Doesn't want to fight dragons? That makes you a terrible person, does it?
The argumentation is simply incoherent. The only reason the stream viewers are actually mad is because she's getting it on with the hero. It's as simple as that. Monpui just made sure that everybody gets a show of them having sex because he's a little shit.
@criver Hmm, I see now that asking "how does that make someone a terrible person?" was a rhetorical question while you really meant something along the lines of "shut up, idiot" and weren't actually wanting to understand my point of view. I probably should have guessed that from your tone. No real point in trying to discuss this, then – have a wonderful day/night!
@Keansor It was actually a legit question. Since, while I do believe that you were wrong with a high probability, I can still simultaneously entertain the idea that maybe I missed something. But considering your defensive reply, I guess I wasn't that far off the mark.
