Hariko no Otome - Vol. 2 Ch. 7.1

Just to keep saying it, that testing method of her "family" is beyond idiotic.

The reason she failed is 100% understandable as a potential result.

Ewey is actually correct, but Yui would be easier for readers to know how to pronounce it. The first example that from the top of my head comes from a familiar shitty name--the Ewell's from To Kill A Mocking Bird which is pronounced [YOO] + [UHL]. Just a clarification.

P.S. English is fucking shitty.

My cute and fluffy Ewey name OTL It's because she's fluffy like a sheep, thus the "Ewe" in "Ewey" 😭(and also thread coming from sheep fibers)

@Jacktris
Correct me if I’m wrong but the Japanese name Yui does not have an English translation. That is if you are trying to imply Yui = ewey.

P.s. Ewey if it exists as a given name is not an English name that I know of though it does exist as a family name.

Yui makes more sense to me than Ewey in written form, since Yui is a Japanese name. Ewey would be more along the lines of how to properly pronounce Yui. Also, it appears that the term Yui is a girls name and appears to mean Elegant Cloth, as well as alone, which would be rather relevant to this character's abilities.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yui_(name) also other google searches.

@sjmcc13 My guess is that normally they do give the person being tested a hint or prior training. They just didn't like Yui for some reason.

Makes you wonder how’d ppl manage to make “Yui” an “ewey” if what you said is true
