A week before their wedding day, she travels to America on business, accidentally involves herself in corporate intrigue, gets placed in witness protection, and contracts amnesia. Given the circumstances, she only knows about her false identity and believes it is real.
Also, the evil American CEO, having been acquitted without this key witness, becomes a recurring character.
