Yea, this plot-line is really weak. It left it's original charming reverse isekai comedy for dumb isekai rpg-esque drama because wheat-field plot.

I never read the LN so I dont know about the ending, but I can just say one thing for Amelie, from the start she is a selfish person, she become the hero so she can get a revenge (for the one who destroy her village and kill her father) but yeah all this deal about wheat field is so outstretched, because that land isnt tended for years the wheat will be full of parasites, not to mention the land not getting a rest for all those years, so if she get her hand to the land she need to burn them anyway (to make feltilizer from the ash) and plant new seeds. So even if the villain burn it, its do more good than harm.
