@gda19 in most countries thats ok as consent ages differ. I don't know your current age but when your older its not as weird as it is when your younger. In America and other countries its a bit odd tho. Altho even some american states allow 16 as the age of consent.

@Flashplayer0CD I'd also like to compound your point with also the whole childhood friend being applied to them. A lot of the stigma about an age gap usually comes from neighbors or family members, being childhood friends mostly negates it.

16 years old is the legal age of consent for sexual relationship and for marriage in Japan so I see nothing wrong there. This is true for a lot of countries as well but also differs slightly. England iirc has 16 as the age of consent for sex but 18 as the legal age for marriage. The age gap though can draw negative views from society but as they're childhood friends, it is more acceptable.
