Hatsukoi Zombie - Vol. 16 Ch. 151 - Eve, Taken Away

@Qelix @anon763 you are being narrow minded. Eve was already established to be unhealthy for Tarou, he rejects other women because of her, an immaterial being that was never born . She is not even alive , she is an idealized illusion of a real person. Eve needs to go for the story to progress because as of now she is just keeping Tarou hostage and Ibusuki is being lenient towards her. Only outsiders see the truth here eg : Ebino , dad, and Tarou's sister.

Oh my lord, dudes. How is there still an argument as to whether Eve is alive? At this point, she can feel emotions, engage in full conversation, react to things around her without Tarou knowing, and see things and know things Tarou would have no way of seeing or knowing.

You can argue if she is unhealthy for him, but Eve is very much 'alive,' or sapient if you want to get specific. This is the main reason why she is still here. If Tarou was to get rid of Eve by confessing, he would- in his eyes- be killing a sapient being who he considers a close friend.

@StarixCrown What are you talking about? His dad cares nothing about first love zombies other than actually being able to see them. Check 145, he says they're evil because of his OBSESSION with them. He doesn't care about Tarou, he only cares about taking his ability. He's been jealous of it since he was a kid.

The father was always depicted as a jerk from the very moment that he was introduced.

But this chapter rams it up all the way into monstrously selfish asshole.

In one single panel the mangaka has made a character so thoroughly appalling that he sours the rest of the manga.

This manga just got its "I'm so fucked up" moment.

is it just me? i think tarou's father trying to release him from what so called "curse" by taking eve away. idk tho,because he still kinda looking after tarou after he passed out

For some reason I couldn't help but imagine the cloud-zombies singing some modified version of Savage Garden's "I want you" on page 9. Don't ask me why.

You all are saying that his Dad wants to "save" him from FLZ, but 1. He has never seen one 2. He doesn't know about Tarou's circumstances and I'll be hard pressed in believing he even cares 3. He just wants to see them for his own curiosity.

@RizeUp
...No. And for anyone else suggesting that Tarou's father is trying to save him and isn't being a selfish prick, please re-read chapter 146.
Does THIS look like someone that is trying to save his son and free him of his curse to see these things?

He doesn't want to help his son. He wants his son's abilities. Even if it means "stealing" said ability from him, consequences or unknown effects be damned. Jealousy, envy, selfishness, whatever. Take your pick. Shitty father is shitty.
