it basically turns out that his childhood friend is fucked up in the headShe has a totally different personality and has been just been faking a perfect appearance to him his whole life. She says she knows how to act to make people like her and shit . She never liked him not as a person not even romantically she basically says she didn’t like him but didn’t dislike him though. She says she didn’t really think much of him at all. She’s says from the beginning when they were kids that she thought that maybe she’d end up marrying him cuz they were the only kids in the village their age and that she didn’t want that. She wanted to marry someone else. The whole reason she wanted to become an adventurer is so she could leave the marriage and find someone else to marry. On top of that she says she seduced him into thinking that being an adventurer was his dream so that he’d come along with her cuz she didn’t want to adventure with a stranger instead. And that If he went with her he could find someone else to love instead. She knew that he had feelings for so she decided to use them to make him follow her. Then she has this delusional monologue about when they left he could find someone for himself and she could leave him but what if he can’t find someone she’d have to marry him out of pity and sacrifice her future and then she says that’s not the future she wanted. She’s basically got a twisted sense of love or attachment she basically sees him a tool or convenient person to keep around. The whole fight with them ending up with her just trying to get him angry grovel at her feet but he ends up leaving thinking it’s over while she feel betrayed cuz he left her

Her thought process was so bizarre she adamantly says she doesn’t think much of him and that he’s useless even with his skills and stuff but gets angry at the fact he’s with a girl and is like so any girl was fine with you as long as they looked after you? It was really fucked up she contradicts herself so much she even says she hates him and that she should have abandoned him not him abandoning her. THATS WHAT SHES MOST ANGRY ABOUT
