Hey, animals can transform in this setting. The ancestors didn't necessarily do that. And if one lolibaba is any indication, the great grandmother is still probably alive.

As to Rude: Originally he's part human and a tiny fraction of fox. What about the paternal line, though?
His fenrir characteristics are borrowed from his fenris brother. Can they be taken back, though? Because if so, then we can't really call him human/fox/fenrir hybrid.
