First one is an extremely classic 80's "kids who are antisocial are weird degenerates who will harm society" story, given a supernatural bent. The lesson of today: ostracize the weird kids and make sure to inflict as much harm on them as is legal. After all, if he'd never gotten the idea for those paper dolls, or if he'd been beaten to a pulp for peeping the first time, or if he'd been driven to such depths as to be forced to leave town, none of these kids would've had a problem. Remember, lonely people are weird and deserve our scorn.
