In the Volume 2 last chapter before the epilogue in the Light Novel, Yoshi kun did exactly what Yuki did in the finish line when Yoshi kun is helping a little girl (Named Yuki) in winning a race. After that Event Yoshi recall this certain scenario of his and wondered that there is someone at the finish line when he did this.
