I am glad that TL doesn't rush with this even though it's completed at vol. 6.
Savouring it patiently.

While I'm happy that it's no Isekai, it suffers the same problem to me. By needlessly tying it to reality, it forces itself to be judged on that basis, making the reader less forgiving for things that should be realistic but aren't. Making it a traditional fantasy world would have avoided comments like the now completely appropriate "Iron maidens weren't really a thing".
