Henkyou no Roukishi - Bard Loen - Vol. 4 Ch. 20 - A Knight's Vow

That felt like 6 pages hahaha

You know what they say about good things ending fast!

"A knight is sworn to valour,

His heart knows only virtue,

His blade defends the helpless,

His might upholds the weak,

His word speaks only truth,

His wrath undoes the wicked."

I feel like this chapter laid out fairly well, that a "knight" is a position within society. Not just a type of character, or a virtue, so it shouldn't be taken lightly. But then, the end of the chapter just tried to idealize them. I am kinda lost on the moral, here.
I feel like it should make more sense for the kid to understand that building up the capacity to protect people, should not necessarily be associated with the strict occupation of serving noblemen, or the crown. To begin with, it seems pretty tragic that the kid was allowed to day-dream about "being a knight" without really explaining what a "knight" even is.

Thank you for the speedy translation lately !
