Such an absolute fucking mess of a setup. Someone please tell every Japanese creator to stop running these shitty trends into the ground. It'd be one thing if they weren't used so poorly and lazily but why in god's name would you undercut the inciting incident just so you can uselessly cram some stupid trope where it isn't needed? Most isekai would be better off not being isekai and most of these bumblefuck mind transfer plots are completely braindead insults to good character writing.

@Guyincognitus The issue usually isn't the writers but editors trying to sell / what the audience buys. Authors just have to do certain things to be able to be published and while maybe this was what the author wanted, looking at the fucking epic character and world building from nothing to then go to isekai, it sure feels like something they were forced to do to get a deal.

For a drawing to look so nice and slice of life lookin, the story is pretty sad. Really liked the king’s head on a spike, no ever does that even though it’ll be the best demoralizing method. Even doing it to the soldiers or generals would work fine.
