He's prolly stuck until his level's not low. In this chapter, the girl, who was mimicking the teacher, said so. So, If he gets to be in higher level he might be able to have another beast for himself and although not stated (just guessing and may be wrong), he may be also able to give the beast back, or if not atleast pay for it to her. The debt may then be cleared (for this one only).

Tbh Idk why all the Beibei complaints are in the comments for this chapter, she’s been a lot worse in some of the previous ones.

Although I do think she’s too extreme for sure, I’m happy that it looks like the author at least plans to grow his characters, which is always fantastic if done right. Beibei’s growth will have to be sorta fast, or at least notable though considering how unlikable she is atm.

I’m sorta hope Mo’s soul beast doesn’t turn out to be OP, but then again, maybe he needs it to be OP? He simultaneously seems stronger than a lot of the other people and weaker, so it’s difficult to say. I’m also wondering whether that sword cultivator’s soul got absorbed by him, his necklace, or his sword, or if it was just destroyed. OR if it somehow reincarnated again. Honestly this series could do so much just with the small stuff going on right now, I love it.

@wreavant i think beibei in comments is because its sort of just switched? if this is the way author going with her being mc's girl, the prev chapters could have shown a bit more (maybe others will call it obvious, i usually am in the camp that reads things way off mark from others --then again, now i think, maybe fact she was "elite" of sect and spending time, even teasing [but then this is too much cultivator so teasing is just straight abuse really, and its not like a "boy hits girl cause likes," but "girl abuses boy cause hes trash and deserves to be beat/humiliated every second"-tangent] like it could go that other way too, but meh)

for his soul beast, either then she prob took the soul beast from her families special inventory (and its op) or she wanted to do "playful joke" -_- and give craptastically funny one but "oh no! i dont want him to be ACTUALLY stunted in cultivation growth" -----_________------
which sounds most fun for me, not her reasoning, but how mc will have to go the way of sword cultivation (and the trials and obstacles of doing so in a soul controller sect)

guys, probably you wouldnt understand, since i am alike that beibei, when i was young i would tease, mock, or annoy someone who i like, the more i like someone, the more i try to annoy / tease them, and most of everyone got annoyed and leave me,

when you raised in a no good family, with less love affection, it would be hard for you to show affection , and for me, i did annoy people to express it
