So the elimination of the Xia family was a personal business of Senior Sister Chu and not a clan mission.

These girls from Immortal Feather Palace are there searching for the demoness whose true identity is the Azure Feather, the holy beast of their clan, that escaped.

However the girls from Immortal Feather ended meeting Senior Sister Chu and are going to get revenge for the cleansing of the Xia family, because one of them is from that family, the one whose brother allowed the demoness to escape.

And meanwhile the demoness that escaped Immortal Feather Palace is about to get captured and consumed by those 2 cultivators from a minor clan.

People however are shipping lil Mo with a bird.

Can anyone explain why the demoness took the form of lil Mo's childhood friend, and why she is interested in the first place? Also, what happened to the demon in the desert, I thought she was the one who took a liking to lil Mo?

I'm not sure there *was* much thought put _in_ the plot...

she did not take form of Beibei. She is just beaty with same hairstyle, looking similiar overall.
She is the demon shown in the wilderness Prelude, she is also the blue feather sparow in the same scene, later explained that she was "stolen" from cultivator sect by the cultivator from Xia family who got backstabbed over dead lizard demon body.
Reason for liking? Imho more like curious interest. Propably because she enjoyed their date when they met. She commentet she had fun and that he is different than other men.
