Hero? I Quit a Long Time Ago - Ch. 163

If its his body thats being controlled, and whoever is controlling him(or the order given to him through the necromancy) can use his eyes to see things, why can he still move his mouth to speak and warn son of god?
Also, where in the bible or any scripture or any thing related to Christianity does it say "dont escape things"? I mean, I guess leaving everything to god could be considered giving up, but son of god doesnt seem to be a really... righteous christian, if he is one at all, so yeah. But even then, it still doesnt say dont give up or escape, it says the opposite!

I don't know if Evan is being extra cruel and coming up with the conversations to guide the heroes, is actually just controlling the bodies but can use their senses, or has something worse he is planning on and just set their bodies to smash things. Either way I have reached a new level of paranoia. Thanks for the chapter!

I think it's like that bit in Naruto where a bunch of dead people got resurrected through some forbidden jutsu, got edgy eyes and were forced to fight the heroes even though they were self-conscious enough to be aware of what was happening and not wanting anything to do with it. I even remember them telling the heroes how to defeat them.

It's likely that just their bodies are under orders to attack intruders, but they can act on their own otherwise. This means they can speak freely since that doesn't prevent their bodies from trying to kill them.

And this is why pride is known as a deadly sin...

(Well, it's part of the reason, anyway)

most/all religious text are long and easily interpretive/manipulate into any argument, heck, most data can do the same depend on the speaker. The guy prob pull some sort of 'can't turn your back to evil' or maybe 'duty/pride of the role'

@TimeVolt remember that one resurrection art from Naruto ("edo tensei" or something), this is pretty much that, the body is controlled but the mind is not so they can still talk

@Rosiethereaper on page 14, in the bottom right panel, in the top speech bubble, it says "whether its the bible i believe in or the rules of the church", and a quick google search says that its... the christian or jewish holy text... but it frequently mentions papal stuff, and i dont think papal is related to anything but catholic stuff, which is christianity, but yes, he does not really act like an actual, modern christian, a crusader maybe, but not a modern christian.

@merukit thats exactly it, the body is being controlled, but the mind is free to speak, not necessarily the bodies mouth. the panels where longinus is speaking show him with his mouth open, implying he is physically speaking to son of god, so yeah. also i didnt read much of naruto, so i have no idea what you mean by the resurrection arc
