@kminjii my guess would be as a sequel series rather than a direct continuation (and considering Herscherik novels use multiple title names after Herscherik, it would make sense canonically)

I wonder what the creative differences were. I'm guessing that they just used that as a reason why the artist and author broke up, and the real reason is something different. Like, what could there have possibly been to argue about in a light novel adaptation? It could be like the Scum Villain drama, where the artist directly insulted the author and was subsequently fired.

But there's also no reason to believe that it is any reason otherwise, so eh whatever
