Heterogeneous Linguistics - Vol. 2 Ch. 18

For some reason, '' You're a dead meat! '' is literal here

Good thing the cat doesn't become a dead meowt

This series seems like a real nightmare to translate. Thank you so much for the hard work, translators!

Man, interesting how they view kids and adults in regards to needing to be told what to do. Much like other animals in real life, it's sorta "Hey, here's how you do shit, now off with you" so working together isn't even on their mind at first.

Will Sensei become King of the Beasts and lead them to victory? No, probably not.

Don't worry, if you die Susuki is there to eat your meat ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

He said they don't get the nuance, but he gave the right answer to "who walks first in line", which was "the person who knows the way" the same thing applies in all topics. "Who would be the one to lead in bridge building", "The person who has the most know how, or experience".

Thanks so much for the chapter. Love this manga

@Mjrdeath That's exactly what I was thinking. It bears some resemblance to how the first bridge over Niagara Falls was established-- they held a kite flying contest to get the first line over, and used that to get heavier cables into place to begin construction. With a first rope, it's at least something for them to grab onto.

while monster world is mostly disorganized, they are also more egalitarians.

It would be interesting to see a reversal of this same story by this same author. Or to see how a monster does in traveling through human lands. I get the feeling that the reason for the rather “uncivilized” manner that the monsters live is due in part that they don’t organize in the same way humans do.

Or it could be due to some sort of massive death toll several generations earlier that left the survivors barely clinging on, much like how disease is estimated to have killed off around 90% of the population in North America between Columbus and the founding of Jamestown.
