High Risk Mission Therapy - Vol. 5 Ch. 53

That’s what I was saying some time ago...in tagged Harem mangas, someone has to lose. Even if the boy/girl doesn’t deserve it, like here.

I feel that Harem ending could really be a legit ending, in some scenarios...

It's not "if only there was a harem ending", it's "if only the first girl never always win"...

someone need to make a doujin of this with MC getting NTR to hell fuck that beta bitch boi makin grills cry

I have to give props to the author actually make some progress in the actual romance part of the story. Most confessions from a girl only happens in 200 or so chapters, then you gotta wait 200 more for any confirmation back from the MC, what ever the answer is. Athlete girl has earned a lot of respect from me, because she went and fessed up.

@kronix it was shown several times that Kandono is in love with Edogawa, she's just not yet aware of it. Her mother said so in chapter 28, there was also an instance when she was talking about Edogawa with Hayase, with Hayase commenting that the way Kandono thinks of him means she likes him. And in chapter 23 her most beautiful expression in picture was when she was looking at Edogawa. There are more but now I don't have the time to reread all the manga to find the exact quotes.

Honestly, the blame in cases like this lies with the author and their skills. Creating a boy meets girl and they fall in love is all fine, making rivals as well, but the problem arise when they can't keep it balanced, and bring new characters that work better/have better chemistry with the MC, or simply more likeable than the main heroine, and yet they dead set on the first girls wins route. It shows their inability to create a proper story in the genre. Most of this stories would feel a lot more organic if the ending would be based on how things are developing, not the "this end must be the one and i'll shove it no matter what" style. Harem endings are rare, don't know if it's because their so indulged with their own ship, or just the message it sends, though it's not like that the message that you can be the densest shittiest most idiotic character who tramples on everything and can't handle situations properly, yet you'll be all fine in the end is a better at all. By the way the guy cries more than the girl to garner simpathy from the readers are so fucking forced that it's annoying.

Fyi: Kandono loves Edogawa the most? Just accepting a random engagment with a random guy out of the blue in fron of the one you're supposed to be in love with reaaaaly shows you're love. Yeah :D At this point it's still more like a friendship stuff than actual love from her part.

@Istvan90623 she didn't accept the engagement, it was forced on her, and she went along with Minato because they talked about Edogawa together.
And in the Sadogawa chapter, she was the only one that rejected the manly form in favor of the real Edogawa.

@Lex79 She could've said, No Thanks on spot. Even if it wasn't decided by her, just letting it happen without saying anything as the same as accepting it. As how her mother acted before and then, it was pretty much a test, which she failed. Rejecting Sadogawa doesn't mean anything more than the fact that she's rather interact with a nice guy than an asshole.

@Istvan90623 She complained, but even her mother was powerless to stop the engagement and gave her an escape route. The Sadogawa chapter was meant to show that Kandono's feelings are deeper than the other girls'.

It'z so kuul sunna'va bihch wait no it's not so cool that ain't cool I wasn't ready for this.

i don't expect this coming out of silly harem manga about rubbing fetish...

@Cyzeed I know that feel, bro.. I know..

I'm glad someone agree.
Maintaining status quo is just prolonged the torture.
