I had wondered if one of the owners of the tails we saw during the inarizushi detective incident was a weasel, but I decided it was unlikely because barely anyone seems to do anything with the weasels in manga and such compared to foxes or tanuki, let alone the cats. Even though my first guess was right, I kind of leaned towards "maybe there's finally a long haired cat monster?" Have you guys noticed that? They're always short haired breeds for some reason. Easier to draw, maybe.
