That last page prompted me to have a look at chapter 1. Hmm, yup. The art's changed some.
At the risk of taking this way too seriously...
I want Mikako to be happy too, but I think she has way too much unsorted baggage to be in a healthy relationship as she is now. She hasn’t outright said it, but it’s obvious there’s a history of sexual abuse by her father. That was followed by verbal, and possibly physical, abuse by her grandmother who, it appears from what we’ve seen, blamed her for what her father did. Not to mention any bad stuff that may have happened while working as a prostitute. She needs some serious therapy to work through all of that.
