sort of weird everyone blames the gay guy for everything, yet he is the one who noticed things are wrong and so far have suggested twice that they break it off, while the girl insists on keeping it going because of her inferiority complex. not that what he did at the beginning was forgivable

kinda peeved that it isnt just. here on mangadex but the website isnt unbearable and the story is actually really gripping and good. i get really engrossed in stories where characters make decisions and they can't turn back on, ones that they cant undo and have significant consequences.

@abbers is totally right, the story is moving along solidly, we actually see the consquences of their actions and im eating it up. the art is pretty neat too the emotion conveyed feels real and and shows the appropriate amount of angst that the characters are experiencing.

and i'm really enjoying the use of hina as a catalyst, she has a really self destructive nature that makea me want to see her become better and learn how to move on. looking forward to what comes next

I dunno what peoples problem is with this series. Them having seemingly intractable problems and relationship is what makes it really interesting to read. And yes, kids really would be that vicious about it at school.

They both have this shitty Catch-22 going on where "fulfilling" the other person only hurts themselves or involves being untrue to themselves, which is ultimately hollow and gnaws at them.

Ren can't emotionally fulfill himself without ruining himself socially. At the same time he knows Hina is emotionally in a bad place and that Enabling her by using Change really bothers him and isn't good for Hina either. On the flipside, Ren is never going to look at Hina "that way". While she does gain some genuine fulfillment in "stretching her wings" as Ren at school and in sports, she essentially inherits his original problem: As Ren she would be a boy attracted to other boys and only faking interest in girls because that's what everyone else expects.

I'm just afraid this is going to end with Hina Changing with Ren-kun and jumping off a roof to "force" Ren to be "happy" by living as Hina and marrying Makoto or something.
(As she either doesn't know Ren has some hangups still, or understands Ren's aversions to being a girl are minor in comparison to what he gains emotionally from the situation)

Makoto's a genuinely great guy and deserves way better than being caught up in these two shitheads lives. Both Hina and Ren can go jump off a cliff, especially Ren.
