Historie - Ch. 112 - Cardia (Heart) (1)

ok we're done with the origin story, now lets get the real show on the road, Alexander the Great

The title of this chapter is “カルディア(心臓)”, the first part being the name Cardia in kana and the second part is the kanji for heart. At first I thought this meant something like the heart, or spirit of Cardia, but it didn’t make sense, so I mistranslated it as “Dedication to Cardia”. What I didn’t know, is that the Greek word for heart, καρδιά, is also Kardia. So the chapter title is actually just the word heart! But to keep the original title in mind, I renamed it to “Cardia (Heart)”.

Thanks to Cloud for figuring this out with me!

Man, I've been following this manga for like 10 years or so and they just only now got to Phillip's death, like what the hell?

i really hate when i catch up with something and the last released chapter has a cliffhanger :(((

Poor Phillip, without phillip's foundation, I believe Alexander would only had 3/5 chances of conquering persia. It's not as easy as it seems that Alexander can conquer all of persia
(as being told on the conflict at the end of his conquest, parmenion, etc), for me he was like 70% practitioner and 30% cunning. Vision? Welcome to Diadochi war.

Oh well, it's about time I stopped caring about this manga.
It's not that I particularly like the king - whom I love is Eumenes - but I can't stand Alexander in this work. Unfortunately I am unable to have hope for him to become more likeable in the near future.

I just read this all in one day, its not even the weekends...guess im gonna have to wait a bit for the next chapter eh

@DecarabiaDehuri
If the author intends to follow through with this story until the death of Eumenes, then I imagine he'll have to give Alexander more of a personality. Here's hoping that's the case and not some time jump shenanigans where we don't see any of the character development.

Oh, that came faster than I thought
Finally no more Phillip the Dick
