Can someone explain to me why Eurydice is getting married to Philip? I know that it was bad for our main character to marry the girl for some reason, but now the king wants her for himself. I just don't get it.. If it's because the king wants Eumenes to stay then they should have allowed him to get married instead...
Only thing i could see in the future is that perhaps our main character and Eurydice can get a secret child and fake it as a prince but i doubt that would really happen.

Re-read chapter 95. Philip has a personal issue with Alexander and thinks that while he's a skilled military leader, he's not quite all there in the head to be a king and feels hesitant about making him his heir. Additionally, none of Philip's wives are actual full-blooded Macedonian nobles. So in case Alexander doesn't turn out to be a suitable candidate to be the next king, Philip wants a replacement heir. Having a full-blooded Macedonian son is ideal for this since this potential replacement heir would naturally be younger than Alexander, and would have to have enough support from the Macedonian nobles to fend off any challenge posed by Olympias/Alexander.
Additionally, denying Eumenes blood-ties with the Macedonian nobility through marriage will also serve to check his influence.

So it's the matter of influence after all. Because if he was only after blood there could have been definitely more full-blooded Macedonian nobles than just Eurydice.
Overall i understand Phillip's role as a king so influence really is important, yet i find some reasons a bit weird.
"If he is to be delegated with considerable authority it is preferable he remains as a full-blooded Scythian" -> I don't quite understand why exactly it is preferable. Is it because of the same reasons why Antipater chose Eumenes to go to Athens? Yet if he became left hand it wouldn't be that important anymore, since Eumenes's role would be totally different commanding the left wing.
"..and a son of a noble blood were to result from the union with his niece, that will certainly be a serious cause of concern" -> What is the danger here? Aren't some of the boys in Mieza also sons of noblemen? (I am not sure now that i think, so i am sorry if i am mistaken)
