Hitomi-chan wa Hitomishiri - Vol. 3 Ch. 31

Is the "hopeless comic relief lesbian" trope not common enough for people to recognize it on sight

Calm down nerds, your self insert isn't gonna get NTR'd by a girl

Too bad her love won't go anywhere with her. I could see her finding love with some characters, but it's Impossible with with the Female Lead.

Honestly it’s such a big pet peeve of mine now for all of these short romance manga to randomly have a yuri character with no purpose. I totally don’t mind gay characters and lesbians obviously exist irl, but to me it feels rude to the people who actually like yuri AND to the people who like the original pairing.

Like in this, both of the girls are cute and the story would be quite cute, so I think yuri fans would naturally really like it, but frustratingly there’s like a 99.9% chance that the manga doesn’t switch that way.

Then for the people who like the cute little dude are also disappointed as now part of what they look forward to in the manga is being put on the back burner for a character who’s crush likely won’t go anywhere.

I understand that it’s done because it generates views, but it just seems rude to the fans.

FYI, I don't think ship is strong enough to break the main ship. Though, it is, pretty cute.

@Wreavant Just think of it as normal love triangle.

After rereading the few chapters that this Himari character is in, it seems like she's having trouble sorting out her emotions for Hitomi. She may not even be a lesbian by default, but instead is just attracted to strong people. Of course, Hitomi saving her from a couple of compromising situations heavily leans her to the yuri side, but her also being tsundere with her feelings doesn't help. Perhaps unintentionally, she's observing Hitomi and Yuu's relationship to gauge whether or not it's a romantic one. I can't say I'm rooting for her, but her presence would add a bit of spice to this rather predictable story.

Honestly the delinquent girl is better than the MC. Too bad the MC is, well, the MC.
