Hokago wa Kissaten De - Vol. 1 Ch. 6 - Raizo

Thanks for the translation!

As someone who loves old places and things, I can really see where Riku and Fushimi are coming from. While I also like some things, trends and frivolity are things I have an antipathy towards, so I can't say I get Raizou… is what I would say if I didn't have a few friends who were big on trendy stuff and only had mild appreciation for older things. From what I've heard, the Fear East isn't very good about upkeep of private old places (houses and such), so that explains the bizarre old=shabby thing (well, the typical building materials don't help either). As a person who's never lived in a building built before WWII (more of them before WWI, actually), I find the usual casual comment in a lot of East Asian media referring to a 20 year old house as old to be a sign of crappy construction and upkeep. Per consequence, this story is even more refreshing than it would otherwise be!

That's a rebellious son of a shrine, for sure. He's basically rejecting the shrine with all of his actions. He should forget Riku, though. There's no compatibility between them. Apparently he's a womaniser, so there's no reason for him to immediately fall for a girl who seems to understand his circumstances a little bit.
