The whole dibscalling on people is warped as all hell. Ignoring the romantic feelings of the person you supposedly love, because "Hey, someone called dibs on them!" is nothing but delusional. Can you imagine person A telling person B, "No you can't be with person C, because I called dibs on you first, so person C would be a bastard if they got together with you, even if your love is requited."

She didn't avoid him. She greeted him and everything. If he wants to talk more, all he needs to do is initiate a conversation with her. If neither party puts in the effort to have a conversation, it won't take place. The only thing that changed here is that MC no longer is the only one waiting for the other person to be assertive and initiate a conversation.
Heck, MC didn't even look at the door or anything whilst waiting for her to return to the classroom that day. He ensured there was no way he was going to notice her before she noticed him by staring at his desk. He was basically waiting for her to announce her presence to him and strike up the conversation with him.
If she's being a distant asshole, then so is he.

Looks like this manga is getting axed. Anyway they are reaching the conclusion wayy too early. I think the fireworks are bait too.

I don't think a climax is a a sign of an axe, it might just be the arc coming to an end.

I completely and wholeheartedly disagree with you. I completely understand how the main girl is feeling. You just don’t like it bc it’s not going the way you want it to go. I love how she is not disregarding how her friends feel and not acting all desperate for the mc. There is absolutely nothing wrong with her. She is behaving how I would behave in that situation which is nothing wrong with that. You would never want to hurt your friend’s feelings but you have to keep in mind your feelings too. Are you saying she should just disregard how her friend felt and kept going for the mc??? Let her sort out her feelings please. Stop criticizing her bc you want every single girl to be in war with each other for the mc. The author is doing absolutely great writing this. I absolutely love his work. Thank you.

You all are seriously not putting yourself in the girl’s shoes. I would do the same thing as Fuyuki if I was her. I wouldn’t want my friend to be hurt. Besides, it’s not like there aren’t other men in the world. Why do you all always want every single girl that comes across the mc to stay desperate for him? Be realistic here please. They can find other love. I can’t believe you all want them to not back off and have a harem. Do you not care how the girls will feel? No one wants to share their partner, at least not these girls. So it would hurt to constantly go for someone who has also captured the hearts of others. It’s completely selfish to want the girls to endure that and continue to go for the mc...

I'd get what you mean if the author had implied Sayu and Fuyuki had been friends for quite a while before they had met Shiki. However, that's not what happens, so there's really no reason for the readers to be invested in their friendship, the author failed to show that their friendship is more important than anything else. Then again, one could say that if the author did that, the manga would be a shoujo or a josei, not a shounen.
Be as it may, Sayu is introduced later in the story with the interactions between Fuyuki and Shiki already well established, that's one of the reasons this whole "drama" feels cheap/unrealistic and it's bad writing.

@HotGirlShi I dunno about that, I mean yeah she shouldn't disregard her friends feeling but from what we've seen the fmc also have feeling for mc, even if she doesn't fully understand them and she shouldn't disregard those as well.
