Yo otsukare that is some quick work! i think it would've been better if Emmerich played a bigger role in the negotation, like a scenario where he tells the grandpa to shoot him, to prove his dedication to Aina. There wasn't really any conclusion in regards to the grandpa, they kinda just carried him off screen and wrapped it up. Slightly disappointed.

I prefer it this way. I think the grandfather was treated exactly the way he deserved. He relinquished any sort of moral high ground when he struck his daughter and threatened a man who interceded to stand up for her with a hunting rifle, which resulted in injury and frankly should land him in prison. Why should Emmerich engage with him? To gain his blessing? What meaning is there in the blessing of a bigot?

So the old fart hit a young woman hard enough to leave a visible wound, not to mention he shot the lord, also actually injuring him in the process and isn't given any sort of punishment? At the very least he shouldn't be able to own guns anymore for what he did so he cant be a danger to others in the village.
