Totally agree with all of you guys! Like seriously he knows that uka & miyura are a couple and saw that they are very happy and in love with each other so wtf is he doing and I know this is the author trying to show us how awesome/hot miyura is but I wish he hadn't accepted it

I just finished binging all the chapters. One thing I wonder is how Takamine is barely there anymore. It just felt like he just disappeared from Kai's friends circle for some reason ._. He was shown approaching Ishimori from time to time (while Kai was able to see them) and saving her that one time when she fainted, but now he's not there anymore. Was he supposed to be the 2nd love interest, but got replaced by the new guy from the other high school or something? ._.

Anyway, I've enjoyed the read. Thanks for scanlating ^^

@yunii I think Takamine was never a real friend to anyone in that group. He probably enjoyed Kai’s company because he made him look better and it was easier to pick up girls. Kai is a cool/laidback person in general and probably suspected this but didn’t really care either since it pacified his boredom at the time. Their relationship has always seemed superficial to me so it makes sense that it seems like the author “forgot” about him.

I also suspect that Takamine has a crappy home situation like Kai which could also be another reason they ended up being “friends”

Yep, not a fan on how they are basically making Uka a trophy for their little gamble. Still, I'm looking forward to how Kai and Uka's relationship will develop during this love rival arc.

Btw, I was so sure that Takamine would definitely become the love rival, just for the heck of it (as in, he would do it out of mischief or something lol). Takizawa is a nice guy overall, tho. I wish somehow he will get a good ending, even if he doesn't end up with Uka.

I agree with the comments saying that the contest is pointless and stupid. Winning the contest might make you feel better about yourself, but it’s not gonna change the way Uka feels Mister Dog.. Uka better say something cuz this isn’t okay :-)

it's just so stupid to me how people in manga think they need to compete against someone's partner and be like "i'm better than them!" as IF that would change anything about how the person in question feels about them lmao it's just such an arrogant thing to do, like they really think the other person will just break up because of them, it's so STUPID. and aside from being stupid, it's ridiculous how the feelings of that person don't matter for ANYTHING, apparently, since they think they can just erase it and change directions...
