That love for mecha reminds me of Siegfried but maybe that's just a coincidence. Rita disappearing during Nagazora? Might involve the 3rd.
Seeing Moth survived through some way, maybe Schicksal isn't around or not as strong as they are in the main universe.

I like that no matter the dimension or what path in life she takes Durandal still finds some way to end up fighting Honkai.
So he's going around removing all of her potential waifu candidates from any reality she ends up in, the dickweed.

The keeper of the 2nd key is a person from the Previous Era, likely an acquaintance of Kevin and Hua

This larger storyline featuring Rita and Bianca before the former's dispatch to the Far East branch kicks off in late 2015 (the current arc explicitly starts shortly after the wrap-up of "London Holiday") which, as per the timeline on the manga series frontpage, would be roughly a year after the Nagazora incident (AKA Second Impact where Mei's Herrscher first briefly woke) which resulted in Kiana & Co. being enrolled in St. Freya's. The game starts roughly in 2017 or so, IIRC the explicit mention in the intro cinematic you see every time you update the larger patches of some three years after that event.

Summa summarum this stuff is going down about two years before the game. (Which presumably also implies Durandal has gotten even stronker af in the meantime...)
