> left a baby with the sleeping dad, thats a no no, babies need constant supervision
> said dad looks super sick

Depending on the culture, it is possible that the baby will only be named after a certain amount of time passes. It also possible that children are named after a specific event occurs, for example a cristening/ baptism.

But WHY would they put a baby next to a peraon that’s about to die? Wouldn’t she get infected? She could die? Also why didn’t MC mention her dad was severely sick?

I’m thinking the others claiming the mom’s bailing on them makes sense here.

@wompWomp probably because she's the only one who can go out to buy him medicine, and is faster if she goes alone, moreover, taking care of a baby who is yet unable to walk is easier than one that's capable of walking and the MC doesn't seem to be able to walk yet.

OK thought corner.
It took a while for her status to come online, like the mobile and semi-self aware stage of growth like a synchronization issue. She was a normal baby then bam, her status is online. It could also be because there is a sudden dead end event that spurred the status activation.
Her avatar was an elf, does it still say elf on her status or is she human now like her parents? Oh and before anyone points out her ears it can be that they take a hundred years to become pointy.
There can be lot of issues with the family, like runaway nobles with features of special hair or eye color, which is a cause of worry for their child to not be seen in public. The Mom could be using an artifact to hide her race and the same can be said about the MC.
The cover shows her holding hands with a woman. 90% sure that is the MC's Mother. The lack of tragedy tag leans on the parents being both there and healthy.
Now does everyone in this story have access to their status or is it just the MC?
Oh and I am fairly certain that she has hundreds of each item with 99 of each filling a stack just like in some games.
She also has 5000 spare skill points or status points or stamina points but I am leaning on skill points and it is 5000 and not 10000 because she has already used half of them.
