Honzuki no Gekokujou ~Shisho ni Naru Tame ni wa Shudan wo Erandeiraremasen~ Dai 1-bu 「Hon ga Nai nara Tsukureba Ii!」 - Vol. 6 Ch. 28 - Continuing Pap…

Yo this mother character development was noice, she realized she and her husband raised their kids with a horrible hierarchy system and now is reaping the consequences.

I agree that nonchalant was the better choice. it just feels more right. Also given the title bookworm using a slightly harder word compared to 'okay' fits the story even more.
Thanks for the chapter 😀

P.20 "I have 6 sheets, so I get 4 large and 1 small silvers, right?"

4 Large and 2 Small silvers

the danger from paper merchants who would be out of the job or their profits smashed. There are also from religious nuts or the superstitous or just overly paranoid(paper came from a lifeforce sucking plant would make even sane person cautious)

I really like how detailled the whole paper production is handled. From the whole trial and error during production to merchants with vested interests interfering. Other isekais are like "Oh nice, cocoa beans. Let's make chocolate. Ok, chocolate done, let's sell it. Profit, nice" in 5 pages.

@Jeirien : Nah, it's not (only) that. (see the other spoiler below for more details)
Tronbe's paper doesn't have the life consuming aspect of it, just the extreme fire resistance
@captain_crunch : IIRC
The danger is actually from the contract magic they did before.
Because most people don't usually use such contract and Benno hid much of the details of it, there's a good chance someone out there isn't aware the wood-paper is magically copyrighted.
And if they try to create it, they'll get divine punishment for trying to violate an established contract.

That said, there won't be any serious thing out of this.
I believe it mostly ends up with them agreeing to split their customer-base.

Something like parchment will be exclusive for certain things, while the wood paper other things.

@WhimsiCat

Can you spoil me if the MC end up with someone's the manga reader already know of or completely new character that has yet to appear? (I read translation wn as well but I don't think it would be a church arc characters anyways but if it is... well, pls spoil me)

I mean after you spoil a bit about that in last chapter it got me thinking if it's the character I think it is and seems I can't wait after all to know the answer when I can just ask you (. __ .

No translator myself, but I read tons of fiction every day. Manga, LN, WN, actual books, etc...

Yeah, nonchalantly as a pseudo sfx is on point. You could maybe use casually there too, but nonchalantly works better.

Great Translation Note, it was pretty interesting :D
I believe that translating it as "Nonchalantly" was a better decision than SFX-ed "Okay?/Right?"
It is not better by a huge margin, but it gives us a bit of a Myne's character, like she is used to this kind of "big" money. Whereas "Okay/Right" would not give us that minor detail.
Great chapter, thanks!

Ermigersh, so happy to see a new chapter of thisssss~~!! ^7^/ I'm looking forward to seeing what happens so much. I've even bought the light novels that are available on Amazon. //dead

Keep up the great work, guys!!

@Minh95 There were more suggestions than that, but basically the team's split into 2 ideas:

1. Respect the raw and type the SFX as a "text", (which Kitsune gave the TL as in this scan)
2. Improvise the "text" into Myne's dialogue to indicate that she sees the whole situation as "not a big deal"

@RonBWL you know what? even i'd choke at making that decision because i'd be riding that fence like a wooden horse. mainly because both solutions are terrible and i can't figure out a better one. then again i'd reckon that if this ever gets an official TL i'd doubt even pros would do better

I definitely prefer nonchalant over okay or right.

Yup is more appropriately casual, but the meaning wouldn't necessarily transfer.

I think I've seen others use matter-of-factly, but it's not exactly a great phrase to use.

I came here for the loli who wants a library but I got economics instead.

CAPITALISM HO!

"Nonchalant" was just fine. I didn't pay any extra attention to it, which means it worked just fine.

Poor girl, one day she will realize that she can make paper, and maybe she could even introduce the idea of a printing press or something , but it will take a long long time before enough people have written books worth reading so everything is pointless. Also deadly illness.
