The dreams are cute, but he should probably see a doctor or psychiatrist to make sure nothing is wrong with his brain. It might just be that his subconscious thinks that he's the dad of the friend group & needs to take care of everyone.

Reoccurring dreams are common enough, but dreams that you can remember with such detail & have an advancing storyline aren't.
